She was very unhappy as he did not turn up. It was way past the usual time, the sound of his motocycle was still nowhere to be heard.

She was very sure that he could feel how she felt; so, telling him verbally of her love for him was not her style. Besides, she could also sense his feeling towards her. They loved each other. If they could carry on with their relationship, she believed, firmly, their love would last.

But, someone told her that he was leaving this place. He had found another job, working off-shore at an oil rig. she couldn't believe it as he did not even mention anything about this at all. She wanted to ask him directly, but, each time, she just couldn't make herself to take the first move to ask.

She was counting the days, one week left. But, he still did not breathe a single word about leaving her.

Worse still, the inquisitive hairdresser asked her about his girl friend. She did not have any idea about him having any girl friend before. She was so trusting.

Now, his absence and the news of his girl friend fret her out . He was leaving this place for good. He told the other guys of the prospect of his new job. He did not mention, not even to the guys, about his girl friend. No, she could not remember anyone mentioning about him having any girl friend before, let alone his fiancee.

How could he do this to her? It was unfair! They were very happy together. They went out countless times. They went trekking, travelling and camping; even though they were in a group, they were regarded by the others as a perfect couple. And, they both enjoyed each other's company. He was very caring and helped her to handle all sorts of errands, without her asking him. They enjoyed such mutual understanding as if they had known each other for a long time. No doubt, they had just met and started to go out for a few months. But, she had trusted her feeling, it was very strong.

Now, how could he leave without a word?

The night was quiet, she couldn't think straight. She did not know what to do. Anyway, she wouldn't make the first move to ask him for the reason, for sure.
